A Law Firm Built Around Intellectual Property

Rotek Law was founded with a clear purpose: to help inventors, entrepreneurs, and startups protect what they are building.

We believe intellectual property law should support innovation, creativity, and business growth—not create unnecessary barriers to them. From the beginning, our goal has been to provide practical legal guidance that considers not only how to protect our clients' intellectual property, but also what they are trying to accomplish with it.

Whether someone is developing a new invention, launching a business, building a brand, or creating an original work, we want our clients to understand their intellectual property and have a clear path for protecting it.

Protecting Ideas Should Support Innovation, Not Stand in Its Way

Rotek Law was founded by Cristian A. Rodriguez, an intellectual property attorney with a background in mechanical engineering, entrepreneurship, and legal education.

The firm began primarily by helping inventors, entrepreneurs, and startups protect their inventions through patent law.

As we worked with these clients, their needs naturally expanded. Inventors became business owners. Startups developed brands. Entrepreneurs created products, content, and other valuable intellectual property.

Rotek grew alongside them.

We expanded our practice to help entrepreneurs and businesses protect their names, brands, and identities through trademark law. We also expanded into copyright law to help artists, creators, and businesses protect their original creative works.

HOW ROTEK LAW WAS FOUNDED

As our clients and their intellectual property portfolios continued to grow, another need became increasingly important: protecting those rights when they are challenged. Today, Rotek also helps clients enforce and defend their intellectual property and resolve intellectual property disputes.

This evolution allows us to support our clients throughout the intellectual property lifecycle—from an initial idea or creation, to securing legal protection, to growing its value, and ultimately enforcing or defending those rights when necessary.

Rotek Law was founded in September 2024 in South Florida.

What began as a practice focused primarily on patents and protecting new inventions has grown into a broader intellectual property law firm. As the needs of our clients evolved, so did the scope of our practice.

Today, Rotek serves clients across patents, trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property disputes.

Our growth has allowed us to support clients at different stages of their intellectual property journey. From protecting a new invention or creative work to building and protecting a brand, our work has expanded alongside the people and businesses we serve.

Although our services have expanded, our original purpose remains the same: helping people protect what they build and create. We continue to approach intellectual property law with the goal of providing practical legal guidance that helps our clients protect their work and move their ideas forward.
